It Takes Courage!

2 0 1 3

Get your sneakers ready to go door to door, home by home, distributing door hangers with life-saving information about our 24-hour resources for domestic abuse survivors. This fantastic all-volunteer Harbor House event will be held this year in partnership with the Orlando Police Department, City of Orlando and the Orange County Sheriff's Office on Saturday, November 9th.

Our goal is simple: get the right information to the right people at the right time to save lives.

This will be our fourth It Takes Courage event, and each year has grown to include more volunteers, more corporate groups and more community impact. In fact, in the week following last year's It Takes Courage, we had a tremendous increase in hotline calls, and 38 families came into our Emergency Shelter as a result of the door hanging.

What does that mean? It means YOU can help save lives by being a part of this fun, effective community outreach campaign.

We partner with law enforcement to focus our efforts on communities with the highest incidents of domestic abuse. With the support and protection of these agencies and your involvement, we can make a bigger difference than ever in 2013. Please join us!

Invite your friends and coworkers to join your team. Be a part of the solution.
